China and Tourism
"In 2003, 20.2 million Chinese left the country to travel abroad. This was up from 8.4 million in 1998. Moreover, most industry experts expect this number to rise substantially in the next few years due to increased spending power, a possible revaluation of the Chinese currency, and relaxed government rules concerning travel abroad. The hospitality industries in many Asian and European countries are actively seeking Chinese tourists"
